About Me
WHAT DO I DO?
This version brings everything together. It highlights your credentials and your veteran/AuDHD background while making it clear that you are a consultant focused on quick, technical results rather than long-term talk therapy.
Rick Rodgers, LCSW: Systems Consultant
I don’t just listen—I map. As an Afghanistan veteran and an AuDHD practitioner, my brain is wired for high-speed pattern recognition. I work as a consultant rather than a traditional talk therapist. While others focus on "managing" feelings, I work with you to find the glitches in your current daily systems and give you a direct path to fixing them.
The 1–6 Session Model
This is high-efficiency work. I generally work with clients for one to six sessions. We bypass the small talk and get straight to a "honesty audit" of how you function. You don’t need to quit your regular therapist to work with me; think of this as a technical boost to your progress. We aren't here for years of talking; we are here to get you results so you can move on.
Who This Is For
I specialize in supporting those who want a direct, no-nonsense approach to:
-
Neurodivergent Life: Learning to set up your environment to work with your brain, not against it.
-
Trauma & Recovery: Finding a practical, grounded way to handle stress and addictive loops.
-
Veterans & First Responders: Applying the same discipline you used in the field to your own mental clarity.
The First Step: A "System Audit"
Our first meeting is a direct assessment. We will look at the patterns in your life, define exactly what success looks like for you, and decide which tools from my kit will get you there. This is a two-way "fit check." You need to trust my logic, and I need to see that you are ready to do the work.
